While SugarHouse BBQ recently relocated to newer, larger digs along 2100 South – the cuisine is still the same great Memphis style BBQ that’s been filling hungry bellies for more than two decades. Open seven days a week, and now with an added drive through window means you can satiate your BBQ cravings any time the mood hits, even Sundays for take out.
One item I find folks often overlook at SugarHouse BBQ is the fruitwood smoked turkey breast. It’s a meat most other BBQ joints around town don’t serve at all. At SugarHouse the execution is fantastic, perfectly juicy and smoky with a slight kiss of pink smoke ring.
Pictured above is the BBQ Salad ($8) – a large green salad with lettuce tomato, red onion, cucumbers and topped with a pile of that fabulously tender smoked turkey breast.
