Goldener Hirsch restaurant is one of Deer Valley’s premier fine dining destinations – housed in the boutique Goldener Hirsch Inn, modeled after the centuries old original in Austria. After the slopes check out the bar area and enjoy alpen stube – a light bite and a drink – but save room for dinner, a special event nightly.
Chef Ryan Burnham, formerly of Pago creates contemporary Alpine cuisine with a both a seasonal American twist and an eye on local product. Case in point, the pictured Morgan Valley Lamb Sausage ($17) with butternut squash, marcona almond and mustard. A simple, rustic dish, perfectly at home in the mountain lodge atmosphere of the Goldener Hirsch – but crafted from local lamb with a delicate, refined hand.
