The second restaurant from the fantastically humble and talented chaps at Kathmandu, brings quality Indian and Nepalese within easy reach of downtown Salt Lakers.
There’s nary a bad selection on the menu at Kathmandu, but seeing as the owners and most of the staff hail from Nepal and surrounding regions – you’d be wise to pay special attention to the restaurant’s Nepali specialties. Break free from that Tikka Masala habit and try something new, because at Kathmandu, your adventure down the road less traveled will be rewarded with a treasure trove of flavors.
Pictured above is the Chicken Garlic ($13.95) also available with lamb ($15.95) or prawn ($16.95) – although I’m sure veggies would be well catered for too, if a meatless version was created.
And ask they should – because this traditional Nepali style gravy cooked with tomato, onion, spices, and garlic is a riot – at least for garlic lovers. And I do mean *garlic lovers* as this curry bursts at the seems with enough garlic to keep vampires at bay for up to at least several miles.
