Fiddler’s Elbow: fish and chips
Ahhh, fish and chips, a dish close to my heart. This classic British comfort food can be found on the menu of many an eatery around SLC. One restaurant I find myself returning to time and again, year in year out, serves up a great rendition – Fiddler’s Elbow. Their version of the dish is consistently reliable with a beer battered halibut that’s never fails to deliver oodles of crunch. ‘Chips’ are skin on pub type fries, and the dish comes with a side of slaw too. Malt vinegar is on hand if you fancy eating the dish just like the Brits do.
You might want to hang around here for more than the food too. Imbibers are well served with 32 beers on tap, more by the bottle plus wine and liquor too. The joint is open 7 days a week, serves breakfast and and opens late. Sports are also a major draw and Fiddler’s Elbow shows pretty much everything and anything a sports nut could want. From basics like NFL and NBA through to English soccer games. Do note: this restaurant is for 21 years an older only.
